Five Traits of the Karate-Ka
The following five traits are instilled and promoted in all of our students. These traits are at the foundation of our system and we encourage all of our students of karate, karate-ka, to display and apply these five traits not only in their training but also in their daily lives.
Courage - is the ability and willingness to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation
Courtesy - the showing of politeness in one's attitude and behavior toward others.
Humility - a modest or low view of one's own importance
Integrity - the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
Self-Control - is the ability to control one's emotions, behavior, and desire.
