Five Traits of a Karate-Ka

 

The following five traits are instilled and promoted in all of our students.  These traits are the foundation of our system. We encourage all our students of karate to display and apply these traits not only in their training but also in their daily lives.

The display of politeness in one’s attitude and behavior towards others.

Integrity

 

The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles and moral uprightness.

Courage

 

The ability and willingness to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation.

Humility

 

Having a modest or low view of one’s own importance.

Self Control

 

The ability to control one’s actions, emotions, behaviors, and desires.
